The things you make in Chervil don't have to stay on your machine. You can publish pages, agents, and lessons — and browse what everyone else has shared in the community store.
Sharing a page
Any page Sprig composes can be published to a public link you can send to anyone. The shared page carries its own preview image and a Share widget, so it looks good wherever you drop the link — chat, social, email.
Share to your networks
If you've registered your socials in Settings → You → Your places, publishing gets a finishing move: a sheet offers to share what you just published, and Sprig drafts a different post for each network — a tight 280 characters for X, a conversational Bluesky note, a warmer Facebook version — then opens that network's compose window pre-filled. You review the draft and press Post yourself; Chervil never posts on your behalf. Share to one network or work down the list — the sheet re-offers with a ✓ on the ones you've done.
The same 📣 Share this page button appears on any page you're viewing (composed or a live site). Alongside your registered networks it offers Fedica (schedule the post into your content calendar) and AddToAny (share to 100+ services, no extra account) — each opens pre-filled. Choose which services appear, and whether composers open in a popup window or a tab, in Settings → Sharing.
Publish to your blog
From any composed page, choose Publish to web → To WordPress / Substack / Medium…. Chervil takes the best route each platform supports, and the boundary never changes: Sprig drafts and fills, you press Publish.
- WordPress — creates a real draft through WordPress's REST API, then opens the editor to review. Authentication uses an Application Password you generate once (WordPress → Users → Profile → Application Passwords). Chervil keeps it in your encrypted vault — never in a settings file — and sends it only to your site over HTTPS.
- Medium — Medium's publishing API is gone, but it imports a story by URL. Chervil publishes your page to a link, then opens Medium's importer with it; Medium pulls the content in and adds a canonical link back to your page.
- Substack — opens your publication's new-post editor with the whole post on your clipboard. Paste once (Ctrl+V), add a title, and publish.
Set up your blogs in Settings → Publishing & Sync → Blogs (platform, name, site URL, and — for WordPress — your username and app password). There's also an opt-in toggle to let Sprig fill the Substack editor's title and body for you; it still stops before Publish.
Make a book of it
Publishing isn't only the web. The ⤓ Export menu can turn a lesson or page into a real book:
- 📚 eBook (EPUB) — the format Kindle, Apple Books, and Kobo read, and the one Amazon KDP accepts for publishing. Lessons become properly chaptered books: a title page with the objectives, a chapter per module, knowledge checks as printed Q&As, and a sources chapter.
- 🖨 Print-ready PDF — pick a real trim size (6×9 — the KDP paperback standard — 5×8, A5, or US Letter), optionally add KDP-spec bleed, and get book typography, chapters that start on fresh pages, and page numbers. Ready for KDP or a print shop.
Small images are automatically upscaled for print on the way out — and the snip editor's Upscale/Enhance buttons cover anything else (see Sprig on every page).
The community store
Chervil has a growing store of community-made agents, pages, and lessons:
- Agents — import someone's persona and use it as your own.
- Pages — open and remix pages others have published.
- Lessons — interactive, do-something lessons on all kinds of topics.
Browse the galleries, and one click brings a shared item into your own Chervil.
Ratings
Signed-in users can rate what they find, so the best community work rises to the top. Each gallery shows an average rating and count to help you pick.
Submitting your work
When you publish an agent, page, or lesson, you can submit it to the store. Submissions go through a quick review — an automated pre-check plus a human approval — before they appear in the public galleries, keeping the store useful and safe.
