Most of Chervil answers a question you're asking right now. Sprig's Desk is the part that answers a question you'll have next week — you hand Sprig an ongoing goal, and he keeps at it in the background, tells you only when something actually changed, and shows you everything he did while you were away.
Open it from the 🗓 Desk button in the toolbar (or the ⋯ menu). It's a page with a rail of sections: Standing goals, Schedules, and the Trust Ledger.
Standing goals
A standing goal is an ongoing job you delegate in a sentence. In the omnibox, say:

Sprig composes a fresh, cited briefing on the topic and then keeps it current on whatever cadence you choose — hourly, every few hours, daily, or weekly. The goal appears under Standing goals on the Desk with its last update; from there you can Open its page, Refresh now, Pause/Resume, or Delete it. You can also add one straight from the Desk with the Add goal field.
Phrasings that create a standing goal: keep me posted on…, keep me on top of…, stay on top of…, keep an eye on…, keep up with…, keep track of….
It only tells you when something really changed
A re-composed briefing always reads a little differently — the model rewords things every run. So Chervil doesn't compare the text; it compares the figures. Between one run and the next it pairs up the numbers, prices, dates, and percentages, and only counts it as a change if one actually moved:
starting price $1,999 → $1,799
The first run notifies you, so you know the goal is live and can see the baseline. After that, silence means nothing changed — if only the wording moved, Sprig stays quiet rather than crying wolf. Every run is still recorded in the Trust Ledger, whether or not it earned a ping.
Watch a page instead of a topic
Give a goal a page URL instead of a topic and it becomes a watch — Sprig polls that page and tells you when it changes:

Leave the condition off and he tells you about any meaningful change. You can also start one on any live site by asking "watch this page and tell me when…". Watches live under Standing goals with the rest — a page marked 👁, showing its current value and when it last changed.
Coming from Page Watchers? Watching a page used to be a separate list. It's now just a standing goal that points at a URL, so everything Sprig keeps an eye on is in one place. Your existing watchers were migrated automatically — there's nothing to recreate.
The Trust Ledger
If Sprig is going to act on his own, you should be able to see exactly what he did. The Trust Ledger is that record: every goal refresh, every page-watch result, and every action Sprig takes on a live site, in plain language, newest first.
Wherever an action can be reversed, the entry carries a one-click undo — un-unsubscribe from a feed, for instance. Entries that point at a composed page have a View button that jumps straight to it.
The Ledger is also where live-site agent activity is logged now (it used to be a separate panel in Agents), so there's a single place to see everything Sprig has done for you.
Your briefing
With goals producing updates and watches catching changes, there's a lot Sprig knows that you haven't looked at. Ask for it in the omnibox:

Chervil assembles one page from your own signals: what your standing goals turned up, what changed, and the latest from your feeds. It's built on your machine from your actual records — not by asking a model to summarize them — so it's instant, private, and never invents an update that didn't happen. There's a ☀ Today's briefing button on the Desk too.
Schedules
The Schedules section runs a prompt on a clock — daily, on chosen weekdays, or on an interval — composing a fresh page in the background and notifying you when it's ready. Where a standing goal keeps one topic current, a schedule is for "do this thing on this cadence". You can point a schedule at one of your agents to run it as that persona.
Good to know
- Standing goals, watches, schedules, and the Ledger all run while Chervil sits in the tray, and sync across your machines if you've turned on folder sync.
- None of this is available in private tabs — a delegated goal is the opposite of ephemeral.
